I just realized when I posted that thing about Musician’s Friend that I had never actually published the picture I took the first time I set up the ’studio’.

Looks pretty pro, huh? Not bad for $156 shipped. Now I just need to get another mic, and better stands. (I wanted desktop boom stands, but they weren’t in stock…not that it ended up mattering)

So, I got a letter from the CEO of Musician’s Friend today, apologizing for the whole Musician’s Fucker debacle, and offering 20% off and free shipping on my next order. Timely considering I was just admiring my gear last night and wishing I had the other mic I was going to buy.

Musician’s Friend: You will have your truce! But know this; ours is a fragile alliance! Do not trifle with me as there is already a small field nearby peppered with the shallow graves of those who have crossed me…this week.

Another random mic test. This time I had been adjusting record levels for optimal performance… I just came up with this tagline on the fly, and the audio gets cut off almost right after I finish, because everyone— myself included —burst out laughing.

Again, no plugins or cleanup were used.
